My Dad has been raising money for Cancer related charities for a few years now, so it only feels right to continue this for him now that he can no longer do it.
His Cancer battle was eventful - with it initially responding well to treatment and going. Only to rear its ugly head again and not be so kind.
Dad was dealt a bad hand, but lived life the same way he always had; bringing laughter and noise to everyone's life that collided with his.

An avid and talented photographer, you could always count on him to capture life. Then there was his model making. Always a pleasure to see the end product, but you pitied anyone that lived through the creating process - (organised) chaos indeed!
His other huge love was music. Having been in bands for as long as I can remember, he was an incredible fiddle player. He could turn his bow to just about anything - and did! With Bands such as Bulldog, I've Just Seen Roger, Ampersand and Octarine, to name a few, he certainly knew how to please a crowd. Even though his cancer tried to take his voice, music remained with him and always will. He leaves his legacy with so many musicians.
There is a lot of sadness with him having to go too soon, but the happiness he injected into everyone's hearts will live on forever. So I hope you can find it in your heart to donate in memory of my amazing Dad, Michael Shaler x
