At Alzheimer’s Society we’re working towards a world where dementia no longer devastates lives. We do this by giving help to those living with dementia today, and providing hope for the future by campaigning to make dementia the priority it should be and funding groundbreaking research.

Story

Alzheimer's has played a dark role in my life for many years, first when my grandfather had it and now because of my mother, who was diagnosed about 8 years ago and is now in a care home.

The Alzheimer's Society provided support to us in Mom's early stages of the disease and during its progression, so I'm raising funds to give something back to them, which will go towards research and diagnosis and support of patients. Nothing's going to bring her back, but I'm doing what I can to manage my loss and help others who are suffering. Any help from you toward this cause would be appreciated.

The race is 10 July, so I'm trying to meet my target by then!
