Story
As soon as I saw this trek it lit a spark in me that I didn't think I had any more. I'm here to raise as much as I can for Snowdrop and to rediscover myself in the process.
For over two years now I have suffered with my hips and body strength since being pregnant and having my Son. This trip is to raise money not for me but for an incredible charity who support survivors of human trafficking. For me this trip also holds a personal drive, to get my health back, to find myself again after becoming a mother and to see what the next chapter looks like.
Thank you for supporting this incredible fundraiser and helping to raise essential funds for survivors of trafficking. Thank you so much for your generosity. The Snowdrop Project exists as the government does not fund long term support. In law the UK has signed up to a minimum of 45 day support starting from when someone has been identified as a survivor of trafficking. Although support is often for a longer period in reality, many of those we work with have complex needs and require support and advocacy for many years to help them lead an independent life and to reduce the risk of re-exploitation. Thank you for being a crucial part in this journey.
