My son Shay is 9 years old. He has been watching the daily news and updates on Covid-19 and realises the danger and sacrifices NHS workers are putting themselves in to help others. He has been inspired by Tom Moore and many others in our local area and decided he wanted to do something to say thank you to them and show his support. He has been going on a 10k bike ride with his dad every Sunday and whilst he has found it tiring wanted to do something to really push himself. He has therefore decided to try 70k in 7 days. 

I appreciate this is a difficult time for everyone but anything you could spare however small would mean so much to Shay. Thank you so much for taking the time to read this.
