Story
Hello Everyone.
Thank you for looking at my just giving page.
A few years back a member of my family was diagnosed with a lymphoma based cancer. Due to me being in the middle of exams at the time, I was not told about the sad news until a few months after the rest of my family had found out. To start with it didn't sink in, until a few hours later when I was at girls brigade, where we had a prayer evening, this evening gave me a chance to think about the news I had just been told, that's when I broke down in tears and started thinking about what could happen in the future and would I lose this close family member?
After months of hospital trips, constant medication, and a lot of worrying what might happen my Mum is now in remission from her cancer, but is still having regular hospital check ups to make sure the cancer has not come back.
After the hospitals, being so helpful, and helping me to understand what could happen and what they were going to do to prevent the worst, i want to give back to help with more research and help for people and their families dealing with cancer.
So I will Be having my hair cut short on the 18th of August and then selling the hair that has been cut off to raise extra money. All money I raise I will be sending to the charity which is very close to my family, and helping people like myself get the help and support they need to help them with finding out a member of their family has cancer.
