Marie Curie provides care and support for people living with any terminal illness across the UK. Our nurses work night and day in people’s homes and our hospices offer specialist care. We also support people emotionally, provide practical information, and match them with trained volunteers.

Story

In January 2020, we found out that my father had cancer, both in his oesophagus and bones. Over the subsequent two months, we watched as his condition rapidly deteriorated. Throughout this time, Marie Curie were unbelievable. The support and advice they provided us, alongside just general human kindness made everything that little bit easier.

On 13th March 2020, my dad sadly passed away. Marie Curie enabled him to be at home, with my mum, brother and I right beside him till the end. They helped us care for him during those final few weeks, and continued their support even as the pandemic lockdown began.

The required sponsorship to enter and ride for Marie Curie is £350, so I'm aiming for double that amount.
