Story
Because of Covid we can't be out together shaking the buckets to fund oesophageal cancer research this year, so Lollipop Day is being celebrated online over the month of April 2021.By supporting my fundraising efforts for the OCF, your donations help fund Oesophageal Cancer research and increase awareness of the symptoms of Oesophageal Cancer (like difficulty swallowing, acid indigestion, heartburn and reflux). It will also allow the OCF to be by the side of patients with oesophageal cancer and their families.Thank you for your generous support!Together we can bring the good fight to this bad cancer.
As most of you know, my dad has been battling Oesophageal Cancer since July 2019, and is currently still going through treatment. He’s a stubborn man and he’s fighting well through it, but any research by the OCF that can be funded to help him is greatly welcomed.
When we found out about my dad’s diagnosis, the first thing I did was turn to any available information I could find, and the OCF had a wealth of information to help me understand what he was going through.
I’m walking 10,000 steps a day, 300,000 in total, in April to raise funds for this cause. I know I’m a few days late but I’ll be making up for those steps as well. Any donation that can be given would be so appreciated, it means the world to me, and my family have been so grateful for all the support we’ve received so far.
