Story
This year Amy, Jack, John & Tom are celebrating milestone birthdays and decided that rather than booking a relaxing beach vacation, they decided to drive a 3-wheeled rickshaw (essentially a glorified lawnmower) across the length and breadth of India with The Adventurists.
Our two Tuktuks: Frodo Saaggins & Samwise Ganges (get it?) will be preparing for 3000 kilometres of misadventures from the very top of India in Shillong, to the very bottom in Kochi.
There’s no set route, no back-up and no way of knowing if you’re going to make it. The only certainty is that we will get lost, we will get stuck and we will break down. It is easily the least sensible thing to do with two weeks.
Not only is the Rickshaw Run an industrial sized dose of adventure, but it’s also about Saving the World. We are hoping to raise a minimum of £500 for the official charity Cool Earth, who work alongside indigenous populations to halt rainforest destruction.
Protecting the rainforest and reducing deforestation is essential in the fight against the climate crisis. It protects our collective future here on Earth.
