Story
Hi everyone - thank yo so much for visiting me here!!
On April 22 2012 I will be running the London Marathon in aid of Farleigh Hospice.
My cousin Clare was diagnosed with a brain tumour a few years ago. She went through the chemotherapy and managed to control it but unfortunately very recently it has come back – along with Epilepsy and a form of Alzheimer’s. Clare is only 36.
Clare is such a fantastic woman. Two other people who are also fantastic are Clare’s husband Matt and her daughter Ashley. I have never once heard them complain about Clare’s illness which I find incredible. If ever there were a positive family it would be them. I will be so proud to run for Clare but I really need your help to raise the money to do so.
Clare and her family visit Farleigh Hospice one day a week for the much needed support they need. Farleigh Hospice care for people with life limiting illnesses. At a time when it can feel that nothing may be the same again, the staff at Farleigh are there to help. They recognise that their patients not only experience physical symptoms, but also have social, emotional and spiritual needs. Not only are Farleigh staff there to help the patient, they also support the whole family.
I am so grateful for all donations - big or small. As they say 'every little helps'!
Thank you everyone.
