In October 2022 our family lost a beloved Mam, Nan, Wife, Auntie and Sister to Motor Neurone Disease. It was destroying watching the family matriarch slowly disappear from a disease we knew little about. Following lots of research we learned there is little treatment and no cure for sufferers and the impact on the person and surrounding family is profound often leading to loss of life. The official statistic from the MND Association website states - Motor neurone disease kills a third of people within a year and more than half within two years of diagnosis. A truly devastating diagnosis.

So, In honour of Anne my beautiful Mother-In-Law I have committed to running the Great North Run for MND and raise as much money as I can that will be used to fund much needed research, facilities and equipment for anyone effected by MND. As I start my training and try to get myself ready for the challenge please donate anything you can afford to help me reach my target of £2000.
