We are moving further, faster to help everyone affected by a brain tumour

Story

July Update: Sadly my mum lost her battle, she fought so bravely. May she RIP. We are all going to miss her so much. :(  This gives me more fight to get as much money raised as possible for this charity. Any penny is a step closer to a cure. Love to everyone who has donated so far and thank you all ❤️

Its time to raise some money for a charity that has lately been very close to my heart. So from April 2023 until March 2024, I'll be running a half marathon, each month for 12 months.

I do this because my mum was diagnosed with a malignant, inoperable, grade 4, brain tumour in 2019. She was fit and well, so it was devastating when we heard the news. She
continues to fight on nearly 4 years later. However recently she received the news that her she now has brain mets, which is heart-breaking.

Seeing first-hand how it has affected my mum, as well as those around her has given me the drive to do what I can for this charity. Its not only my mum, but there are thousands of people affected by brain tumours. I would love to raise as much money as I can for this charity, as well as raising awareness of the effects brain tumours can have on peoples lives.

“88k people are living with a brain tumour. Brain tumours have a devastating impact on people’s lives. They can strike anyone, at any age. And they strike fast. But what if we could move faster? What if we could be the generation that stopped them – right in their
tracks? As the world’s leading brain tumour charity, that’s exactly what we’re here to achieve. We’re dedicated to accelerating progress in how brain tumours are diagnosed, cared for, treated and ultimately cured. And we won’t stop until they are.” The Brain Tumour Charity.
