Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

Most of you will know that in July 2008 I was diagnosed with thyroid cancer. It was a very difficult time for all of us as a family but throughout my treatment and beyond we had the support of the Butterfly Thyroid Cancer Trust, run by a wonderful lady, Kate Farnell. I would love to raise as much money as possible for them so that others can benefit from the support and advice that really was a lifeline for us during the difficult periods of my illness. I am delighted to say that in June this year a body scan showed that my treatment had been successful and I am free of cancer. Running the Great North Run will be a BIG challenge for me but I am determined to do my best and knowing I have your support will help me enormously!
