I will be crocheting everyday in the month of June to fundraise for Refuge. On any given day, Refuge supports 7000 women and children. Just £10 could provide a woman arriving at a Refuge with the support she needs for her first night. Every £1 makes a difference. Thank you!

The projects I work on in June are primarily blankets which will then be donated to rough sleepers in the Autumn period. Many women who are homeless are often fleeing domestic violence or domestic abuse. While I haven't been officially homeless, I have had involvement with Refuge and their work is invaluable to those in need. 

Here's what your donation goes towards:

£15 gives a woman new to a Refuge shelter daily essentials she needs for her first night.

£25 buys food, supplies and toiletries for families fleeing DA/DV so they can stay safe and healthy.

£45 can cover the cost of a cot protector and mattress for babies in z refuge. 

£52 is what it costs per night for a mother and a baby to spend in refuge.

£75 is the cost of a mobile phone for community workers to provide lifesaving and lifechanging support to women subjected to DA/DV.

£185 is the hourly cost of running the Domestic Abuse Helpline which provides support, information and assistance to women subjected to DA/DV, most of which can be lifesaving.
