Story
Their programmes include community projects such as farming, child care, youth groups, churches, shelters for the elderly, helping those impacted by HIV/Aids and constructing structures such as flood control dykes.
I
will be seeing the impact of poverty in its rawest form, hearing
people’s stories and contributing to the work from digging Vegetable
Gardens, to teaching under fives and helping build irrigation systems.
The team will be right at the heart of how the Eagles are helping
transform Malawi.
The team is fundraising in a whole host of ways including a big Thames Trek - walking 18 miles from Teddington and Tearfund HQ to central London and other events such as car-boot sales.
Being up in Liverpool during the academic year, I will also be carrying out my own little fundraising events too.
If you can give, any amount will be greatly appreciated to help me go, learn, experience and give, on a life transforming trip – both my life and the lives of those impacted by the project.
