Along with a group of my colleagues from Crafter's Companions, I shall be running the 2019 Great North Run to raise funds for Rainbow Trust Childrens Charity. Rainbow Trust provides bespoke emotional and practical support to families who have a child with a life-threatening illness. When life is turned upside down, Rainbow Trust is there to provide bespoke emotional and practical support, to all the family, for as long as required. Their work is nothing short of amazing and with your help they can continue to reach out to more families in need of their support. £23 is enough to pay for an hours practical and emotional support to a family caring for a seriously ill child, helping them make the most of their precious time. £161 pays for a days visit from a Family Support Worker which allows parents to do chores, look after other family members, relax or simply sleep. £1,720 is the average cost of support for a family with a seriously ill child for a year.
