Story
Amy’s story - My lovely, incredible dad has very sadly recently passed away from cancer. At the time that I applied for a charity place with Macmillan Cancer Support, we were one of the lucky families experiencing the amazing care that Macmillan provide to people living with cancer. I can’t thank them enough for the kindness and support they showed us during my dad's last months and weeks which made what was a very difficult time, easier for all of us. For that I will be forever grateful.
Bridget has shown the ultimate support for me by offering to help me raise money for this amazing charity despite securing a ballot place so I’m hugely grateful to her for this.
Bridget's Story - Thanks for visiting our fundraising page. Running the 2024 London Marathon will be a huge challenge for Amy and myself but one which we're determined to complete to raise much needed funds to support the fantastic services which Macmillan provide. Several people close to me have lost loved ones in the last 12 months to cancer and suddenly found themselves in need of Macmillan's expertise and assistance, and I've witnessed how much they valued the practical and emotional support they received.
In tribute to those we remember and to 'pay it forward' & help fund this invaluable service in supporting other families & individuals in the future, we're proud to be raising money for Macmillan. Any support and words of encouragement you can give us both will be very much appreciated and will spur us on as we embark on our training plan to complete this epic challenge.
With huge thanks for your help.
