Story
In February 2020 my Dad was rushed into the Liverpool Heart and Chest Hospital suffering from a severe and totally unexpected heart attack. We found out afterwards it was referred to as the "widow maker" - I don't think I need to explain more what that means but safe to say it was very serious, and pretty unusual for a man of 53.
He spent many weeks very poorly in hospital before undergoing a triple heart bypass, finally being released just before the first COVID lockdown.
Thanks to the speed and skill of the staff at the LHCH his life was literally saved that day and whilst it's been far from a smooth road since then, without the LHCH things would have been very horribly different.
With that in mind, I wanted to do something that would really push me. Something I won't enjoy! A challenge to put it lightly, to raise much needed funds for this amazing hospital. Throughout March I am aiming to run 150km (this equates to around 5km per day) in total. No excuses. Just plain sweat and misery!!
Please donate as much as you can. Even £1 will make a difference. And if you're a UK Taxpayer don't forget to Giftaid it.
Thank you - and wish me luck :)
