Story
On the morning of April 23rd you will find me at the start line for the London Marathon (ahhhh!). I am running on behalf of Brain Research UK in memory of my Dad and his brother, as sadly both suffered from strokes.
Getting back to running after these two loses has not been easy, however knowing that I am running it for such a great cause pushes me forward each day.
Brain Research UK is a medical research charity dedicated to the research of neurological diseases and conditions. Last year they were able to fund a variety of research projects, looking into reducing side effects for brain tumour patients to improving movement for patients with spinal cord injury. Previous work has looked at improving life for those patients who have suffered a stroke, as well as looking at ways to better manage cluster headaches. With 1 in 6 of us suffering from a neurological condition, this research is vital.
If you are able to, please make a donation today to help me raise as much money as possible for a cause close to my heart.
Thank you for your support and I look forward to seeing many of you out there on the day!
