Sahl ibn Sa’d reported: The Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, said, “The one who cares for an orphan and myself will be together in Paradise like this,” and he held his two fingers together to illustrate.

My brothers and sisters, we as an Ummah have spent far too long turning away from those who are desperately in need, and not doing our part in saving our fellow brothers and sisters in need.
Every ten minutes, a child in Yemen dies from one of two things. Hunger or Sickness. A child. A child who should have the freedom to go out and play and just experience a normal childhood. However, they can't. Instead they are subjected to illnesses that can almost completely destroy their physical and cognitive abilities. Their bones become brittle and weak, they suffer so much both mentally and physically.
Recent blockades have prevented them from being able to receive the care and the food that they are in dire need of. Currently an astonishing amount of the Yemeni population (roughly around 22 million people, individuals who deserve the same health that we are so grateful for) are barred from receiving the resources that they need to be able to survive. They cannot survive without immediate Humanitarian Assistance.
The bitter cold is also life threatening for the people, as many sleep with no roof over their heads, and no food in their stomachs. How many more children must be taken, or forced to suffer before we realise that this is affecting our own people.
I promise you, my brothers and sisters, Allah has promised us that money spent on charity and saving another human is never going to lead to poverty. Allah has promised us that you will never go poor from Sadaqah.
"...if anyone saved a life, it would be as if he saved the life of all mankind.” – Quran 5:32
I urge you to donate for the sake of Allah, and help save even one poor, starving child in a famine stricken Yemen, and may Allah reward you both in this life, and the next.
