Hello! We are Amir & Vivek - thank you for finding your way to our fundraiser. This year, we are both honoured to be  raising money for the brilliant Refuweegee Charity as part of the Glasgow University Charity Fashion Show 2021.

Refuweegee is a community-led charity that welcomes and embraces those who have been forced to flee their own homes due to conflicts, human rights violations, persecutions, and more, to arrive in Scotland. Since 2015, they have provided over 10,000 community-built, personal welcome packs and emergency support packs, held social events and provided volunteering opportunities to people all over Glasgow and Scotland. This is both an area of personal interest and a crucially important topic in todays climate, considering the recent crisis in Afghanistan.

For the fundraiser, we will be training and running the Edinburgh Winter Warmer Half Marathon on Saturday 5th February 2022! The money raised will go directly to Refuweegee and will help welcome the most recent arrivals, prevent loneliness, and poverty in refugees of Glasgow - an issue that is crucially pertinent in today's climate abroad.
