Story
This is my first and last London Marathon at the ripe age of 44 (at the time of running) before I quit professional running.
I am running in memory of a childhood friend and a sister that I lost earlier this year - May Iskander Gayed. She passed away as a passenger in an Uber taxi in a horrific road traffic accident near the Red Sea resort city of Hurghada, Egypt.
May loved her niece and nephew. Not having children of her own, they brought her much joy. May loved children and for that reason I am running for this wonderful charity (The Children's Society) in her name.
I am running for justice for May, justice for the people of Egypt, improved road safety in Egypt and for a better, safer and happier childhood for all the children in the world.
I will run my heart out so please do come and support on the day and do support financially only if you can.
Thank you !
