Story
Amie and Steven Waterman are taking part in the #BecomePlayers Marathon, playing Minecraft for 24 hours (all streamed on Twitch) to raise money for Become. We'll be a bit late to the party, playing for 12 hours on Saturday 9th May and 12 hours on Sunday 10th May.
As you may know, I (Amie) have been campaigning to raise awareness of and improve support for people who don't have contact or support from their family, primarily those studying in higher education. In the current crisis, people who are estranged from their families may be struggling without family to support them.
This includes those young people who are in care or are care leavers, many of whom will be feeling incredibly anxious and isolated during this period. Become is a charity who supports these young people directly during this time, providing free help and advice to those who may have no where else to turn to at this time. You can read more about their fantastic work here: www.becomecharity.org.uk.
Every donation you give on this page goes straight to Become to support children and young people in care in these uncertain times - so please give what you can!
