Story
We moved to Heald Green 5 years ago mainly because we wanted to be in a Muslim Community for our children.
I had heard good things about Cheadle Mosque but had only visited it a handful of times. Having lived in Manchester my whole life I have to say I think it's one of the best Mosques in Manchester and probably in the UK.
My main reasons for this are:
> It is one of the few mosques that openly invites children. It runs loads of activities for children of different ages and regularly runs family events with a creche.
> The Imams are very forward thinking and approachable. They are always on hand to help out and give advise.
>They are regularly running events for the wider community. I have been litter picking in our village and been to shared value talks at the Church all organised through the mosque. Everyone is always welcomed at the mosque whether it be school children to learn about Islam or the general public on one of their open days or events.
>The mosque is very well used. In addition to daily prayers and Quran school, they have regular activities for the elderly, toddlers and the youth. It really is a community hub.
For these reasons I have decided to sky dive from 15,000 feet to raise funds for our new build to support our Mosque to continue to do lots more fabulous work for many years to come.
