Story
In September 2022, my wonderful dad got diagnosed with Chronic Lymphocytic Leukaemia. This is a type of cancer that affects the white blood cells and tends to progress slowly over the years. Currently there is no proven cure for CLL but it is manageable to keep it under control. It has been a bit of a tricky time but I am incredibly proud of my dad and how he has handled his treatment over the past year. This is why I am thrilled to be running the 2024 London Marathon on behalf of Leukaemia Care UK, the UK’s leading Blood Cancer Charity.
Leukaemia Care UK have one main goal which ensures everyone affected by this illness gets the best possible diagnosis, information, advice, treatment and support. They believe in improving lives and being a force for change.
This will no doubt be my biggest challenge yet but I will do my best to crawl over that finish line! Thank you so much for reading this far and I would be so grateful for any donation you can give, however big or small.
Love,
Amelie xx
