Story
This summer I will be travelling to South Africa to teach English in a school in Alexandra for six weeks. Together with other student teachers we will introduce new teaching methods and try to inspire students in their learning so that they can progress from school. Enhancing education in such areas is incredibly important and provides a direct route to liberation from poverty.
In the ten years it has operated, the Warwick in Africa programme has reached over 280,000 learners in Ghana, South Africa and Tanzania. The money I am raising will go towards next year's programme costs and will help to ensure that Warwick University can continue to have a positive impact in some of the poorest schools in Africa.
Just £10 will cover the cost of teaching one child for a whole month through the Warwick in Africa programme so please donate generously.
