Firstly, thank you for visiting my JustGiving page,

I'm 19 years old and I'm running my first half marathon in May with my Mum! We are participating in the Chester Half Marathon in order to raise awareness for Alzheimer's Society. 

The charity is very close to our hearts, so raising money for the organisation is so important to us, in order for current research to continue and to help support carers who look after those diagnosed. 

According to Alzheimer's society, statistics show that currently 800,000 people have been diagnosed with dementia in the UK and by 2021, over a million people will be living with the illness, showing this cruel disease is continuing to rise.

I would really appreciate it if you could donate to my JustGiving page! £5 can pay for one person to attend a half hour session at a monthly dementia cafe, £20 could pay for 100 copies of 'Understanding and respecting the person with dementia'  and just £50 can fund a PhD researcher for a day to continue vital research into causes and treatments for demetia.
