Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
This November I turn the big 3-0 and had always planned to travel to New York to celebrate. And I then had the crazy idea that running the marathon while I'm there to raise money for Macmillan would be an amazing way do that!
I managed to rope my boyfriend, Andy Scott, into doing it with me (his 2nd time running it for Macmillan!) because we've both watched close friends and family supported by the absolutely amazing, wonderful, fabulous Macmillan Nurses at some of the most difficult times in their lives. Andy very sadly lost a good friend to cancer a couple of years ago and for me, the Macmillan nurses were a massive support to my family when my Granddad Walt lost his fight with lung cancer a few years ago.
Please dig deep and give what you can. The challenge is huge and our fundraising target is high, but we've got a few events along the way to make sure we achieve our goal!
