Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my page! If you would like to follow my progress have a look at my Instagram @therunningchiropractor or find me on facebook - Amelia Laxton Chiropractor.

The charity:

MACS is a brilliant small charity that supports children and young people born in the UK with either no eyes at all or congenital eye defects. MACS does an amazing job of supporting and bringing together those affected so they don't feel so alone.

My younger cousin Macy-Rose was born with an optic disc coloboma in the left eye which means the optic disc did not form properly during her development. As a result she has very poor sight in her left eye meaning her right eye is her 'super' eye, making up for what the left cannot do. That said it can affect her ability to do things such as catching, balancing and anything involving depth perception, although it definitely hasn't stopped this amazing little girl doing everything she wants to do!

In light of all this I had decided to run London Marathon 2020 for MACS in support of my lovely cousin Macy-Rose! Ofcourse it was postponed however I’m going to be running the 2021 event in October 🙌🏼

Thank-you in advance for your donations!!
