Story

With what turned out to be a fairly full on headwind, we set off at 1.02pm on a sunny but chilly day on Sat 25th. Amelia and Ellen were first to row and Jane skilfully steered us from the start, with Lucy calling out bridge times. It took 3 hours and 56 mins or there abouts and a few blisters later we crossed the line at Ham House. The wind didn't really let up but the water flattened out. The boys looked well beaten until Wandsworth Bridge where they got into their stride and couldn't be caught. But the 21 miles from London Docklands to Richmond was all in good good cause; Hampton Village's Shooting Star Hospice

Thank you for your generous support. And those that cheered really helped spur us along.

Details of the final times can be found on; http://www.greatriverrace.co.uk/race_overview.php
