Story
My journey to motherhood was long with many bumps in the road.
My first long awaited and much wanted pregnancy ended in a devastating missed miscarriage at 10 weeks. I had never heard of a missed miscarriage and suddenly I had to make decisions regarding how to 'manage' the end of my pregnancy. I was heart broken and had no idea how to deal with my feelings.
Incredibly I fell pregnant with Euan very soon afterwards but I was robbed of the joy and excitment of pregnancy, terrified that I would lose my precious baby. I was elated when he was born and I finally held my precious baby.
When I was ready to try for another baby, it was another long road to get pregnant again. Another two heartbreaking miscarriages followed before I was lucky enough to get my beautiful Cameron.
The Miscarriage Association was there with resources to help me learn that I wasn't alone and it wasn't my fault. We must break the taboo of discussing miscarriage and pregnancy loss and help families, friends and colleagues through these incredibly difficult experiences. Thank you for your support.
