Story
Hello because we love to walk and we love wildlife we've decided to combine the two and raise money to save endangered animals like the pangolin and rhino. We are going to walk 35 miles of the Two Moors Way starting at Ivybridge and finishing at Drewsteignton over two days. We will be walking unaccompanied and camping overnight on the moor (with my Dad).
We have already walked the Exmoor Challenge (16 miles unaccompanied) in year 6 and raised over £1000 for the Children's Hospice South West. Although we don't expect to raise that much this time (it's only the two of us) we would really like to raise at least £100 to support this important cause.
We will be carrying out a practice walk in the summer holidays from Haytor to Teignmouth and will be practicing our navigation skills. The fundraising walk will be carried out over the last weekend of the summer holiday what a great way to finish the summer!
We would really appreciate it if you donated money to support us and Rhino Revolution UK charity. Despite their name they help to save one of our favourite animals the pangolin as well as rhinos. The pangolin are the most trafficked animal in the world, 300 animals are poached each day mainly for the scales to be used in medicine. We hope our walk will not only help to support Rhino Revolution UK but also inspire you to do something to help endangered animals.
