I'm running the London Marathon for my Dad who died of Huntington's Disease in August 2019. Huntington's Disease is a genetic disease primarily affecting movement, cognition and behaviour. Symptoms increase over time and greater care and support is needed the longer someone has it. There is no cure for HD and death typically occurs 15-20 years from when the disease is detected. Unfortunately, this disease runs in my family and I am raising money for the Huntington's Disease Association who provide support for those affected. I also get to run the marathon too which is both exciting and TERRIFYING (help!).
