Story
As most of you know Alfie was born at 28 weeks weighing 1lb 7oz, he was too small and too early to stay at our local hospital so had to be transferred to the next closest hospital which had an available incubator for him. Which was Sheffield, 95 miles away from home. We was the lucky ones who was provided a parents room on the unit so we was literally 30 seconds away from Alfie at all times. Not every one is as lucky as us, some parents have to travel up to a 100 miles each way to visit their baby!
Shaun was with us in Sheffield for 3 weeks until he had to go back to work and I can't even begin to understand how he must have felt being that far away and having to travel back and forth to be able to see his son.
Having said that Bliss are trying to raise money between now and September 30th to try and overcome some of the obstacles parents face whilst trying to visit their baby! Alfie loves nothing more than a walk. So we think it will be a fab idea to try and raise some money for an absolutely amazing charity that helped us no end. So Alfie is going to do the 27 mile challenge 😍😂 now bare in mind he's only 2 and has dinky little legs so if it takes us until September 30th then so be it! Please donate if you can (we know times are tough at the moment so we understand if you can't) or even just a share of this post may help. Every time Alfie goes for a walk we'll track it so everyone can see how well he is doing! Thank you ♥️
