Story
3, 2, 1 JUMP! This summer, six brave Amazonians from DPR1 in Preston are strapping themselves in and flying up to 15,000ft. Once there, the door of the plane will be opened and they will jump out attached to a British Skydiving qualified instructor and experience speeds of 120mph as they fly through the skies of Lancashire, all to raise funds for Derian House Childrens Hospice. Derian House provide care and respite for children with life-limiting or life-shortening conditions across the North West of England. To provide their services it costs them almost £5.7m per year, with only 17% of this coming from any statutory sources. The charity have to find the remaining 83% to keep their doors open.
