Story
Everyone has a different reason for taking on the challenge of running a marathon.
You might think that improved health would be enough to motivate me to train for this event, but I've been inspired by something else: helping to create a better world for the 1 in 6 of us who are disabled.
I will be running the Virgin Money London Marathon on April 22, 2018 for Leonard Cheshire Disability to support disabled people in living life their way.
Did you know that 8 out of 10 people with a disability weren’t born with it?
Many have become disabled after an accident, or from a stroke, cancer or developing conditions like multiple sclerosis or motor neurone disease. These life-changing circumstances can stop people in their tracks.
Through the marathon fundraising, we will make sure they can live a full life again, and achieve their dreams.
I have committed to fundraising £3,000 for Leonard Cheshire Disability, the UK’s leading charity supporting disabled people. Every year, they support thousands of people in the UK and around the world with physical and learning disabilities to fulfill their potential and live the lives they choose.
Thank you for taking the time to read this and considering supporting them!
