Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
I have donned the old running shoes again for the Robin Hood Half Marathon in Nottingham on Sunday 14th September. My chosen charity this year is Macmillan Cancer Support. My aim is to beat my fund raising best of £1000.
In my challenge to conquer those wonderful hills (ish !) on the Robin Hood Marathon I have two fabulous friends joining me this year, Helen and Emma. They are complete novices where as I am classed as seasoned runner and a veteran now that I have passed the age of 35!! I am sure a great time will be had by all. We have had much fun and banter through our training sessions and long may it continue.
Any cancer charity is a worthy cause, Macmillan Cancer Support do a fantastic job in giving a complete support and care package to individuals and their families. I have lost loved ones to this dreadful disease, but I also have friends who have won the battle, this would not be possible without the funds raised by so many people. This money is needed for the continued research into possible cures for this disease.
You will at some stage come across someone who has been affected by cancer, when you see the devastation it can have I am sure you will be happy to help me reach my target by donating to a very worth while cause.
Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer. So it’s the most efficient way to donate - I raise more, whilst saving time and cutting costs for the charity.
So please help me reach my target and donate now.
Thank you
