Story

Thank you for clicking on my link. I am hoping to run this prestigious Half Marathon on Sunday 11 September.

I have volunteered with Simon Says since November 2013; it’s an incredible charity that provides support and resources to children and young adults that are struggling to cope with the death of someone close to them. It could be a parent, a sibling, a grandparent or a friend… anyone really. When I tell people about it, they become very serious and I think, imagine that the sessions must be very sad and hard to manage. Yes sometimes we have tears, yes sometimes we hear awful things; but mostly the sessions are full of fun, hope and togetherness. In these groups the children and young people feel normal, sometimes it’s the only place they feel normal. They can start to find themselves again and work through the irrational feelings of sadness and guilt. They learn to laugh again.

Please give what you can - no matter how little in these difficult times - we are not a big charity and every pound helps us move forward. Thank you, we are very grateful 💕.
