Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my 'JustGiving' page.

On 20th August I will be climbing the world's highest freestanding mountain in aid of one of my favourite charities, the NSPCC.

Five years ago, as a result of 'The Safe Place' appeal,  I did a charity skydive to raise money for a new therapeutic children's centre in the North of England, 'The Hargreaves Centre', believing in their philosophy of creating a space cleverly designed to replicate the softness and warmth of a hug.

Have a look at this video...

In 2008, the centre became the 13th base in England for 'Childline' as a response to the fact that of the 300,000 callers in 2007, nearly half were unable to get through due to lack of funds.

There is an ongoing campaign to continue raising money for the centre which is run entirely on charitable donations. Without these funds, tens of thousands of children, all affected by neglect, domestic violence or substance & alcohol abuse, would have suffered further.

All money donated through this page will go directly to The Hargreaves Centre.

Please give generously and wish me luck (and no altitude sickness!)
