We made it - hurrah!
It turned out to be a fine sunny day which was much better than being rained on but did mean we were very hot and tired by the end! It was pretty rough going with lots of steeps hill climbs over rough ground and crossing ploughed fields in full sun - being a bit of a city girl I hadn't come across enough of this in my training so found it a challenge - not a Starbucks in sight and no air conditioning !
We all made it across the line and were greatly relieved and proud to raise money for a great cause. I'm currently walking like an arthritic 90 year old and hoping that it will wear off soon and I can wear something more appropriate that slippers or flip flops
