The purpose of our India Challenge is to raise funds for British Horse Society Welfare, but also for us it's one of our life time ambitions. Whilst it is a charity that may not be close to your hearts it is very dear to Joanne and I.
BHS Welfare aims to prevent cases of cruelty and neglect through education. This is achieved through its network of welfare volunteers, advisory literature and a team of experienced and dedicated staff who handle all enquiries.
The great experience of British Horse Society Welfare volunteers enables the Society to respond in an informed and sympathetic manner to reports of equine suffering and neglect, giving advice and guidance to horse owners on a wide range of topics. The majority of cases that welfare volunteers respond to involve neglect rather than cruelty. Most cases can be resolved by educating horse owners.
SO...... to help these guys raise funds to continue in their efforts, Joanne and I are off to India to trek across the desert region of RAJASTHAN for 11 days, on HORSEBACK. This is by its very nature a CHALLENGE and not a holiday so please please show us your support and donate. No matter how big or small we will be so so thankful!! Both Jo and I will be personally covering the costs of our flights etc and ALL money donated will be going straight to the BHS!
