We help stroke survivors to find strength through support.

Story

As most of you know my beautiful Niece Eleanor was taking very ill within the first 24 hours of her life. This was obviously a very frightening and heartbreaking experience for our family especially my brother Stephen and his wife Michelle, which resulted in them spending nearly a month in hospital whilst test after test was carried out on Eleanor. The diagnosis was that Eleanor suffered a Stroke in the first 24 hours of her life followed by post stroke siezures within the next 24 hours.

Eleanor is now 9 months old and is so far developing like any other baby. We are still not sure how much damage has been caused to her brain and unfortunately only time will tell this but we remain positive and hope for the best.

Therefore I have chosen to run a lot of miles with the aim to raise funds for The Child Stroke Project.

The Child Stroke Project is a collaboration between the Stroke Association and the Evelina London Children's Hospital.

The Child Stroke Project - offers a support service to families like Stephen and Michelle's - offering information, advice and support to the parents. The Evelina London Childrens Hospital is where Eleanor was taken at two weeks old for tests and diagnosis with one of the top specialists in the country. She will now remain under their care at all the key developmental stages in her life alongside care from Little Buds at Darenth Valley Hospital.

Any donation you can make will mean so much to us, and make such a difference to The Child Stroke Project.

Thank you
