Story
Hi-- my name is Amanda, and I'm a second year medical student at the Albert Einstein College of Medicine running my first-ever marathon with CHAM!
Money raised by the Champion for CHAM marathon runners will benefit CHAM's Quality in Life Team (QUILT). This team of palliative care experts are trained to help families navigate medical decisions and offer support as they face the uncertainty of life-threatening and fatal illnesses. Additionally, QUILT provides supportive contact for those patients who are unable to have a family member present due to infection control issues.
I would so appreciate any support you are able to provide to this incredible cause that is doing amazing things for the pediatric patients of NYC! I have grown up seeing what an impact a positive healthcare experience can have on a young child because of my mom, a pediatrician. I am inspired by how a program like QUILT can so greatly impact the quality of lives of terminally ill children who are constantly interacting with the healthcare system. You can also follow me along my training/running journey on my fundraising page, which is linked to my Strava account. Thank you so much for your support, financial or otherwise!
