Story
Thanks for visiting our team fundraising page.
We've joined together to raise money for The Royal Marsden in memory of our dear sister Sian Busby. Sian was a lifelong non-smoker who was diagnosed with lung cancer in 2007 and received treatment from the Royal Marsden for 5 years. Despite this and her determination to survive, Sian died of lung cancer on the 4th September 2012. Sadly, very little is known about this disease and its causes, which is why more research is absolutely vital.
By sponsoring us, you will be supporting the Royal Marsden's crucial work in diagnosing, treating, and caring for those affected by cancer as well as contributing directly to the important research undertaken into lung and other forms of cancer.'
We are taking part in the Marsden March on Sunday 16th March which is a 14 mile sponsored walk between the Marsden Hospitals in Chelsea and Sutton. Sian did the walk herself while she was being treated at the Marsden and we thought that it would be a fitting tribute to a wonderful wife, mother, sister, daughter and friend who is much missed. Sian was a very keen walker so we will be thinking of her every step of the way.
