Story
Marie Curie is a fantastic charity that offers people reassurance and support in what is often the most traumatic times of their lives. You will either have used their services for you or a loved one or know someone who has. We have had very recent first hand experience with them when they provided fantastic carers to offer invaluable reassuring assistance and support to my mother and father in law when he was receiving palliative care.
Now I can't run 100km ultra marathons or do 3000 burpees a day but I can crochet so when I saw this challenge I knew it was perfect for me. I have been very lax with picking up my hooks recently and needed a new challenge to ignite the spark.
So, every day for the month of March, I will be picking up my hooks and wool and taking some time out. I will share my makes with you all on a daily basis on Facebook and these will either be 'for sale' (for a donation) or a larger piece to be 'raffled' at the end of the challenge amongst all those have donated. I will be making daffodils (the flower of the charity) and if you would like one please comment with the word 'Daffodil' with your donation. Each day I will also crochet a granny square which will be joined together to form a blanket. I will add all names of those that have donated into a 'hat' and draw a winner that way. If you do not wish to be part of the draw please comment 'No blanket' with donation.
