My dad was diagnosed with Cancer in July 2015 and although I'm a nurse and usually quite level headed I went into shock at the news. Of course my rational side thought, well there are treatments out there, he'll be fine! Unfortunately he has other conditions which mean chemotherapy and radiotherapy are out of the question. We need more options and I need to do something to help. So this is my way of helping. Maybe not in time to support my dad but for all the other dads out there.

I've always been happy to take on a challenge and try something new. After all I am a Cub leader! But, and it is a big BUT, I have an irrational fear of heights! So what better challenge than to climb a mountain of over 4000m!!!
