Story
Hashimoto's Hypothyroidism stuck me in bed for years.
In pain. Bloated. Foggy brained. Having to go through surgery.
I went from being the horseriding badass to barely about to walk 1/4 mile.
The recovery was one that took a lot of research, seeing many doctors, different specialists, tweaking my diet, supplements, water....entirely changing my business.
A lot of freaking grit.
When my energy returned, my physical endurance did not. It took a good two years of painful walking before I could jog. I had to start tracking steps, moving around just to get my body used to it.
It was HARD. There were a lot of tears. I felt like Hashimotos had stolen years and my body from me.
But I didn't give up.
Once I was able to start jogging...it took months to run. At the same time hitting the weights. My body remembered the movements from my gym days. Which was a saving grace. I'm not sure how anyone who doesn't already KNOW the feel-good workout routine would go through such pain for an unknown.
I got back on a horse. I started riding consistently.
This Challenge showed up on my Instagram two years ago. So I took it. Nothing like MAKING myself do something because it would also benefit my beloved soul creatures.
Here we are. Two years later and I get to GO run LIVE!
And once again, fundraise.
We need a healthy planet. Which includes conservation efforts and healthy animals (seriously, all the stray animals and wildlife that shows up at my door to be saved...let's not let it be in vain. ).
Assist me, in assisting the planet.
Plus you'll get all sorts of sweaty updates and comments about my feet blisters along the way (everyone could use a good laugh right now!)
Love,
Amanda
