Story
I did it! And unfortunately, there's proof in the Lincolnshire echo (colour) of the agony.
Thank you to all those people that sponsored me - I still have more pledges coming in and with fingers crossed may still hit the £500 target.
For those interested my time was 61mins and 1 sec, and I'm struggling to walk now as I've strained my achillies but no worries there's always next year!
Thank you for your support and to raise the cash for Kidney research.
Well I've gone and done it now, I've sent my application off to do the Lincoln 10k roadrace! Of course I've rushed in to this and on reflection have a lot of training to do in preparation for such an event. However, not to lose sight of the reason for putting myself through this is to raise as much money as possible for Kindney Research UK and to run my socks off.
I have no idea how long this will take me, nor what condition I will be in at the end but with your support I can make a difference - please give generously and support Kidney Research UK to make a difference too. I will keep you posted through the trials and tribulations over the next 12 weeks as I begin (!) my training tomorrow...
Please dig deep and sponsor me online.
Donating through this site is simple, fast and totally secure. It is also the most efficient way to sponsor me: Kidney Research UK will receive your money faster and, if you are a UK taxpayer, an extra 28% in tax will be added to your gift at no cost to you.
So please sponsor me now!
Many thanks for your support, Amanda
