Story

Dad/Uncle Alan/Grandad was diagnosed with Idiopathic Pulmonary Fibrosis in March 2020. Sadly there is no cure for this progressive illness and so the Hospice of St Francis provide palliative care and support for Dad. Not just that, they provide psychological support for mum and the 3 of us girls through carers groups and personal sessions to talk through our concerns and questions. Every member of the team we have met are Earth Angels who give us hope, strength and positivity every time we visit. So we want to show them our appreciation by raising some money so they can keep helping other families 💜

The Hospice helps over 2000 people a year to live their precious lives well. Our care has many forms at home, in our outpatient Spring Centre or through specialised care in one of our Hospice beds - and is defined by each person's need. We rely on donations to raise the £5m we need each year to fund our free care.
