Wow!!

 

Yesterday the weather held and the atmosphere was fantastic, the atmosphere was incredible, seeing all the thousands of people taking part and supporting.

We set off at our own steady pace, and settled in - the first hour passed really quickly, through the dockyards, weaving through the main roads of Portsmouth and back around by the seafront... Lucy had said we needed winegums for the 7 mile marker... and she was right... they gave me the last boost to make it to the finish line...

I am really proud as we both ran the whole course our times were at 1 hour 58 minutes, so we are not quite up there with the elite runners yet - who ran 10 miles in 49 mins!! It was an incredible day, and we have raised £185 here plus another £30 in cash and an additional £100 for Altziemers too. A grand total of £310 for charity, not bad for 2 hours work!
