I am running the St Helen's 10k along with some of my work colleagues, one of which is Neil Prescott, Steve's brother.  Working with Neil has given us an insight into the amazing person Steve was.  Not only was he an England and Rugby League legend but he will also be remembered for his tireless fund raising efforts despite battling terminal cancer himself. 

He set up The Steve Prescott Foundation to raise funds for Christies hospital and the Rugby League Benevolant Fund and took part in the many gruelling events himself such as trans-penine walks, marathons and cross atlantic challenges. He was honoured with an MBE for his efforts and is quite frankly a true hero, rugby legend and inspirational person!
